My mission is to create a safe space for people to dive deep into
their own inner journey and hearts.
It starts with recognizing & allowing the armors around our hearts to melt
so that we can feel our hearts again.
I believe that everything in life changes the moment
we start reconnecting back to our hearts
and actually paying attention to what our intuition
instead of mind or the outer world are trying to convince us to.
I, Aleks Nikolic am a yoga teacher that was born & raised in Zurich, Switzerland and has Serbian roots.
They’re all Yoga Alliance Certified. Find all the details & certificates here.
My most important trip so far has been last year to India – after a painful break-up.
It led me back to my own inner flow, to the journey of her heart.
I teach from experience and don’t try to impose dogma on the people who come to my classes or read my stories.
Rather I focus on creating a safe space for people to feel, heal and reconnect back to themselves.
I love to show them tools they can use to balance their own system
and just ask questions which they’re free to answer in their own way and pace.
We’re all on our personal journey. I’m interested in exploring how we can stay centered in ourselves,
have strong boundaries and still keep our hearts open and connect from a raw, vulnerable,
personal space on a deep level with each other.
I’ve been teaching since May 2016 – it all started with mindful, slow-paced Vinyasa Yoga
and Empowerment & Happiness Workshops and transformed into Women Circles
and Hatha Yoga inspired by the Wisdom Goddesses, combined
with sharing circles, dancing, chanting and special 1:1 exercise like eye gazing and journaling.
The yin yoga classes are sequenced after the prana vayus and fascia.
Every shape has an energetic effect and it’s very important for me to support that effect
with a theme that is matching what my students will experience inside of them
on a spiritual, mental, emotional and physical level.
For me teaching flowy dancy vinyasa classes are to balance the Shakti energy –
super feminine and yin is for me cultivating the Shiva consciousness.
The Yin and Yang. I don’t feel yin is a feminine practice as often referred to.
For me, it really helped me to balance my masculine energy and build trust in it.
Creating a container for my feminine shakti energy to flow.
I love to create community gatherings – may this be women circles, goddess ceremonies,
mantra singing or for example, co-creating with or assisting my sisters
(like Linda Bezdekova in her Cacao Ceremony) in their creations.
Daily rituals and my personal sadhana are very important to me
because it connects me back to my heart and something higher.
I feel very inspired by The Radiance Sutras and the 10 Great Tantric Wisdom Goddesses.
I’m interested in recognizing the divinity in each moment and practice meditation in nature.
My own practice consists of daily Japa Mala Meditation.
Either with the Mantra that I got from Amma in her Ashram in India
or diverse other mantras I’m working with that specific moment.
For example, Lakshmi, Ganesha, Gayatri or any of the Wisdom Goddesses.
I often do this in nature while having what I call “a coffee walk”.
Next, to that, I love to connect to mySelf during Ecstatic Dance,
Yin Yoga, mindful Vinyasa, Pranayama and Yoga Nidra.
But my most important thing is sitting in silence and being in nature.
At the moment I’m in Zurich, Switzerland for 3 months,
teaching individual private yin sessions based on the Ayurvedic Doshas,
Goddess Ceremonies in nature and yin journeys
at Lululemon and Yoga Tribe Studio in Zurich.
Find the current schedule here.
I’ve hosted this summer a silent yin yoga & wisdom goddesses retreat
called “Relaxing Into Life” in the Swiss mountains.
It was women-only and all about practicing trust,
letting go of what we don’t need and most important
take the tools into our everyday lives and not just relax for a weekend
and then to come back to the same stress on Monday morning.
That’s why I’ve created a pre- and integration online course
with different rituals, yogi tools and questions to journal.
I love to dive deep and explore my inner landscapes
instead of just doing the quick superficial fixing.
I’m able to teach in English, German, and Swiss-German
and additionally, to that speak Serbian and basic Spanish.
In the past, I’ve been working as a Community Manager for Yelp in Zurich –
organizing events, growing the community, handling business
collaborations and all marketing and social media.
That’s why organizing, writing, hosting and
thinking about solutions instead of problems
(finding creative ways) comes easily to me.
If you’re interested in learning more about my past experiences –
in yoga as in other jobs, find all the details & certificates here.
I’m also able to support you in administration, organizational and marketing tasks.
Also, I’ve done the Basic and Advanced ThetaHealing course,
which is an energetic healing modality working with reprogramming subconscious beliefs and patterns.
At the moment I’m focussing on teaching:
Yin Classes & Journeys
Wisdom Goddess Ceremonies
Mindful Vinyasa Flow
I’d love to co-create with you.

“Absolutely amazing, the kind of person you feel like you know already,
her inner beauty shines through her personality.
She made me appreciate yoga from a whole another perspective,
not only as a stretching and fitness exercise but as an inner strength practice.”
“Aleks is an exceptional and outstanding Yin Yoga teacher.
Inspiring. Thanks for these lessons.”
“I enjoyed the empowerment workshop a lot.
As I had no expectation, I was really surprised at how deep you could go into only a few hours.
What I like especially, was that the workshop is structured into different blocks and subjects.
Therefore different exercises are practiced.
It’s a mixture of physical and psychological exercises, exercises in groups or on your own.
With simple techniques and questions, Aleks manages to bring your thoughts to the right place,
so that you are able to structure your thoughts and see everything a lot clearer.
Amazing about that is, that anyone can get closer to her or his own and individual path,
where the workshop is made for everyone!
To conclude, I really really appreciated it a lot and would recommend it to everyone.
Even if you don’t have any special or defined issues in your life you want to get rid off,
its still worthwhile to participate in the workshop, as everybody always can use some empowerment in life :).
Aleks is a very inspirational person, she just is how she is and sends thus a very grounded energy.
I really liked it, that she was not playing the focused role in the workshop,
but was much more in the background to ask the right questions and just guiding the workshop,
so that we could focus on ourselves.
With her happy and relaxed appearance, she brings a positive vibe to the workshop.”
“Due to Aleks’ attitude, the experience from the techniques was much greater.
She is a great lector, leader and very nice in person.”
“So calming, empowering, pleasant. I felt so great after this beautiful workshop.
Aleks led us with love through very easy steps, how we can improve our life on everyday basis.
Thanks a lot.”
“Aleks is naturally positive and open-hearted person with who you forget all your troubles.
Her workshop was not any superficial event about yoga
but deep experience with focusing on feelings and peace in the soul.
Be open for her hug! She gave me one of the warmest hugs I have ever had. Thank You!”
“Aleks is a friendly, open and cheerful person.
She has some special energy around herself
and she is able to pass it on the others during her workshop.
She can create the atmosphere of trust during her lectures and make you feel present, too.
You will definitely leave feeling more alive and powerful inside yourself
after having some lecture with her.
I can highly recommend her workshops. “
“Aleks is a magician who can transport you to a dimension of happiness.
She is overwhelming with her endless vibrant energy,
a beautiful smile in her heart and beauty in the world itself.”
“With Aleks, everything feels good and natural, anyhow crazy stuff she makes you do.”
